Great British Sewing Bee leaves Derbyshire teacher Brogan baffled by confusing pocket sewing instructions

One of this week’s sewing assignments on Great British Sewing Bee left Derbyshire teacher Brogan Sommerville baffled. The sewing project that got the contestants a little warm under the collar was to create 1930s sailor’s pants that featured a wide leg and a high waist.

Brogan, 25, who has thousands of Instagram followers, tried to make sense of the “meaty” instructions. She said, “I hope I can get through this.”

Speaking aloud, as if to make sense of the colossal task ahead of him, Brogan said, “Place your two pocket bags together, at the top pocket, on the wrong side of the bottom pocket.” Not fully understanding the instructions, Brogan exclaimed, “What is it?”

It turns out the contestants weren’t the only ones confused by the confusing instructions. Viewers were quick to react to the show on social media, who also shared their views on the “confusing” instructions.
